*Security Without Hierarchies

Security culture is often based around controlling the flow of information or restricting access to critical resources or knowledge. This is necessary to make it harder for cops, feds, and those who want to harm us to gather intelligence. However, this can also create hierarchies where some people are cut off, left out, or kept in a subservient position for security. The workshop will start with a discussion of the phenomenon and then move on to discuss strategies for creating a security culture without hierarchies.

*Lockpicking

Learn how to open a lock without a key.

*Self-defense

Self-defense workshop with flexible accessories such as belts and scarves. Self defense techniques, aimed at controlling and/or neutralizing one or more opponents using personal accessories or simply an empty hand. No previous experience is needed.

*Basic Medical Care for Demonstrations

Demonstrations at Berlin often end with police enacting violence against participants, often preemptively or just because they feel like it. Less commonly, there are random right wing attacks, especially at large counter-demonstrations against fascists marches. While we commonly have Demo Sanis (Street Medics) present, they aren’t always around, and when things get too spicy, you might not be able to find them, or they might not be able to reach you. With a few basic skills, you can help care for each other either on your own or until someone with more training can help you out. This course covers basic care at the demonstration for common injuries as well as aftercare for when you get home. No prior medical training is need.

Learn how to fill a fire extinguisher. If you want, bring your own colour and fire extinguisher :), bu it is not necessary. We will provide both as well.
